Daniel B. Zurek, Ph.D.
My academic research has investigated the neuroscience of visual systems, quantification of attention processes, and evolution of signaler-receiver interactions. I also forayed into biomechanics of locomotion a few times.
An overarching goal of my research at Macquarie, Cornell, U Pitt, and U Cincinnati was to find out how vision works in its natural context. This entailed coming up with new methods to capture behavior, developing video data mining methods in Python, R, and MATLAB, and finding creative ways to analyze and visualize tricky spatiotemporal data. I now work as a Data Scientist in the tech industry. Email me |
